Description/Responsibilities

Tivity Health is seeking an Associate Account Executive who will be responsible for the oversight and of delivery services purchased by health plan customers. The Associate Account Executive may either be responsible for a portfolio of clients with revenue of less than $2M each or may assist senior account executives with larger accounts. In this role the AAE will be responsible for tactical planning, contracting, reporting, and service delivery efforts, will report to the VP, Client Relations and work in collaboration with Sales, Operations, Finance, Contracts and Marketing.

 

Essential responsibilities:

 

  • Client/Consultant Management: Nurture and develop overall business relationships with assigned market segment accounts and their respective consultants and/or brokers. Establish and/or improve positive strategic relationships with day to day client contacts.
  • Customer Operations Liaison: Advocate for resolution of customer issues including complex technical, service delivery and/or customer service problems. Conduct formal periodic review meetings with clients to: review performance; surface any threats and opportunities; and discuss new ideas and solutions. Effectively manage customer's requests for program deviations that may negatively impact Tivity Health’s ability to efficiently deliver services to all customers.
  • Contract Expansion/Up-sell: In collaboration with the VP, Client Relations, will work aggressively to identify and pursue opportunities for contract expansion. Using consultative selling practices to uncover issues related to the customer’s needs and proactively identify solutions to customer issues by linking opportunities to contract scope expansion.
  • Contract Renewal: Work with Client Relations leadership to support the renewal strategy development, packaging, presentation and negotiation activities to retain and grow profitable existing business. Conduct pre-renewal internal strategy meetings to discuss customer issues, problems, needs, opportunities, competitive threats and alternatives to be proposed. Interpret financial data and provide input on pricing. Coordinate and prepare for renewal and RFP responses as applicable.
  • Market Knowledge: Develop knowledge of existing and changing market dynamics impacting customer’s business. Maintain knowledge of competitor's sales activities and general competitive intelligence. Maintain pipeline report of all potential sales activity in Salesforce.com and report weekly.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and communicate long-term strategic plans for their clients designed to ensure account retention and short-term tactical plans to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Margin and Revenue: Ensure profitability of individual accounts and with continued pursuit of new business as well as securing long term renewals.
  • Reporting: Prepare necessary data, reports and course of action in managing and renewing clients. Review and analyze reports for accuracy and outcomes needed to satisfy the customer. Present reports to senior executives. (e.g. monthly, quarterly and/or annual reporting) as needed.
  • Ongoing Development: Participate in Tivity Health’s training offerings, workshops, and seminars to improve knowledge of Tivity Health’s solutions and customer development and sales skills. Keep abreast of Company and industry development.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, health administration or other related discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in progressive account management experience preferred. This experience should be predominately in sales, account management, client services or marketing capacity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated consultative sales and client relationship management abilities.
  • Good analytic and quantitative skills with demonstrated ability to follow through and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and to develop unique client focused solutions based on strong understanding of client business challenges and needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand healthcare and employer health benefit plan design.
  • Good understanding of key financial metrics such as revenue and margins.
  • Skillful negotiator and experience with conflict resolution.
  • Strong execution skills and values planning and preparation to ensure success.
  • Comfortable with work travel, approximately 15%.

The salary range for this opportunity is $58,200 to $79,500. Compensation depends on several factors: qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
