    The Billing Analyst develops and maintains policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of the billing function.   S/he performs analyses and assists in a variety of billing activities including, but not limited to, managing the day-to-day operations of the billing process, analyzing and reviewing each billing cycle to ensure accuracy, researching billing issues, and preparing weekly and monthly reports.


    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    • Perform billing analyses and assist in a variety of billing activities including: managing the day-to-day operations of the billing process:
      • analyzing and reviewing each billing cycle to ensure accuracy
      • researching billing issues
      • preparing weekly and monthly reports
    • Audit the accuracy of billing information entered in the system and monitor the operation of the billing processes
    • Develop/nurture client relationships
    • Develop solutions to billing issues and implement process improvements
    • Monitor outstanding balances to identify potential collection issues
    • Document all billing communications
    • Perform variance and forecasting analysis for various levels of management
    • Provide analytical data and billing support for the organization
    • Communicate with multiple levels of management and staff in various departments to resolve billing issues
    • Present summaries and recommendations supported by quantifiable data
    • Work closely with leadership to identify billing errors and excess A/R aging
    • Provide documentation for internal and external audit
    • Act as ops finance representative for new client and new market implementation process

    Other tasks as assigned.


    Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other business-related discipline or additional applicable experience required.

    Experience: 2 or more years’ experience in accounting (specifically A/R and billing services)


    • Extensive demonstrated proficiency using MS Office applications
    • Strong customer service skills required
    • Strong skills to organize, multi-task, prioritize, and execute assigned workload to meet multiple deadlines.
    • Detail-oriented and accurate, without losing sight of the big picture
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, changing environment
