  • Description/Responsibilities

    The Senior Graphic Designer will be a part of the Marketing Department’s Creative Team, supporting all brand and visual aspects of the business including internal and external requests. This individual will be responsible for creating and executing effective design solutions to engage and inspire consumers to take action across all media channels.

     

    1. Produce bold, award winning print and digital campaigns across all consumer channels
    2. Tasks vary and may include: integrated traditional and digital campaigns, direct mail “template” production, new direct mail initiatives, developing and maintaining visual identities for multiple brands/products, internal posters, flyers, and graphics
    3. Manage a large portfolio of health plan client brands; follow both internal product and client brand guidelines to deliver brand compliant materials
    4. Collaborate with other Designers, Copywriters, Marketing Specialists and various stakeholders to think strategically and help define project objectives and requirements to increase effectiveness
    5. Experience with inbound marketing and designing for social media. Understand the desired user experience and apply UI/UX design principles to build/support emails and landing pages
    6. Prep files for prepress/preflight/testing for print and digital production
    7. Constantly learn ways to improve design craft; research, apply and inform other Designers of industry best-practices
    8. Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design or related discipline preferred

     

    Experience: 5+ years of prior graphic design work in an ad agency or in-house corporate marketing setting

     

    Knowledge/Skills

    • Strong background and portfolio developing full brand identities and creating seamless direct mail and digital campaigns
    • Expert knowledge of concept development, design hierarchy, research, problem-solving and presentation skills
    • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects and tasks with both short and long-term deadlines; deliver accurate and quality work with short timelines
    • Empowered self-starter with the ability to lead projects independently and collaboratively with a team; ability to seek problems, learn fast and implement new processes
    • Must be highly proficient in a Mac environment and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge, Camera Raw, Lightroom, and Acrobat)
    • Technical understanding of InDesign/Adobe: templates, master pages, libraries, paragraph styles and character styles
    • Able to design custom Microsoft requests such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
    • Strong digital background in WordPress, HTML, CSS, Email Service Providers such as HubSpot or MailChimp
    • Experience with USPS mailing postal regulations
    • Basic video editing or animating simple graphics are a plus
    • Photography and the ability to organize, lead and direct photo shoots are a plus
    • Understanding of CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) guidelines are a plus
    • An online/PDF portfolio is required for consideration
